Responsibilities

\n
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-REIT.
\n
• Manage tax compliance for a variety of real estate partnerships, corporations, and investment entities.
\n
• Review partnership tax returns and supporting tax work papers for accuracy and completeness.
\n
• Coordinate with external CPA firms and internal accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
\n
• Research and resolve tax notices and inquiries from various taxing jurisdictions.
\n
• Assist with multi-state tax compliance and related tax projects.
\n
• Maintain organized tax records, work papers, and supporting documentation.
\n
• Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams on tax-related matters.
\n
• Monitor relevant federal, state, and local tax developments affecting the company’s real estate portfolio.
\n
• Work independently to identify and resolve tax compliance issues and meet filing deadlines.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 3–4 years of tax experience, preferably with a large public accounting firm.
\n
• Strong experience with real estate and partnership taxation.
\n
• Experience with REIT taxation strongly preferred.
\n
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing Form 1065 partnership tax returns.
\n
• Experience with Form 1120 corporate tax returns and Form 1120-REIT preferred.
\n
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance.
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with internal teams and external accounting firms.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a hands-on environment.
