As an early-stage team member, your data will directly drive our upcoming IND-enabling milestones The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly adaptable Histology & Lab Operations Technician to manage tissue processing, slide preparation, and general laboratory maintenance for our preclinical neural graft studies. You will handle brain tissue specimens, execute histological assays, oversee vivarium maintenance, and manage ordering and organization to keep our operations running seamlessly. Key Responsibilities - Histology & Analysis : Perfuse rodents, embed, section (frozen and paraffin), and stain rodent and human brain tissue samples. Perform immunohistochemistry and image tissue using epifluorescence and confocal microscopy. - General Lab Maintenance & Organization : Maintain stock levels, track inventory, and manage procurement and ordering for lab supplies, reagents, and consumables. Ensure general lab workspace cleanliness, safety compliance, and organized storage system maintenance. - Vivarium Maintenance : Oversee vivarium operations, including breeding and ordering, tracking animal housing/breeding logs, coordinating with veterinary staff, and modify IACUC protocols as needed, and ensuring compliance with institutional IACUC standards.
